about

Inspired by a NASA article about Zeta Ophiuchi - beautiful chaos!

"Supernova" is currently a scratch (rough draft) version--the pro version will be epic!

lyrics

Supernova (Zeta Ophiuchi)

Interstellar gas and dust
Creep toward spontaneous combust
Fried with ultraviolet rays
Thrust in the galaxy to claim a place

Flowing like a new bow shock
Magnetosphere turns like a clock
Interstellar waves collide
to crush the things they love inside

A bubble from a stellar wind
Withstands the shock to rise again
Blast from mass in darkest space
the Supernova runaway

Shining bright in outer space
You will never see its face
Freed from the partner by the blast
Its brilliance finally seen at last

Green and wispy northern lights
Reminisce of current plights
Too much dust to shine afar
Supernova killed the star

There was a time I knew for sure
our brightest burning would endure
And though we circled from afar
You were my binary star

Never have I shone so bright
Never felt such true delight
The blue and green burst through the sky
Long past the day we said goodbye

The mediums which tore us apart
were lost set in seeds from the start
Tragedy strikes to scar the will
But I win—for I love you still

Shining bright in outer space
You will never see its face
Freed from the partner by the blast
Its brilliance finally seen at last

Green and wispy northern lights
Reminisce of current plights
Too much dust to shine afar
Supernova killed the star
