To my reviewers on Facebook and otherwise: do you like having the guitar chords left in the lyrics, or is it a distraction? (Also, if you do like the guitar chords, please keep in mind that Mira's vocal range is higher than mine, so if she is using a capo, that changes the chords, but I have left them as I play it) Please let me know!
Thanks again for all the great feedback and help in determining which songs will go on the CDs I will be releasing in 2015 and beyond!
lyrics
Sabbatical
G C D C5 D
Furloughs are calling
C G C G
to me to me
G C D C5 D
come see the mountains
C G C G
where you can breathe
D D C Em
The river is resting
D D C Am
while leaves float quiescent
G C D C5 D
Charge peace in the storehouse
C G C G
to keep to keep
G C D C5 D
Fields are greener
C G C G
where silence blooms
G C D C5 D
vast in their flowing
C G C G
all strain consumed
D D C Em
birds sing my secrets
D D C Am
while grace drowns my regrets
G C D C5
my soul's butterfly
C D D G
is finally free
