"Transmutation" is an act or instance of transmuting or being transmuted: as: the conversion of base metals into gold or silver b : the conversion of one element or nuclide into another either naturally or artificially... so transmutation is--among other things--the alchemical process of refining grosser matter (such as metal) into a higher vibrational state of matter (such as gold). To those who will endure the process of being transmuted to the higher self, the "gold" or creative ability to transform matter becomes incidental to living as the phoenix which has risen triumphant from the ashes of the past.

So in the context of this song, there is a psychological transformation from the innocent self to the social persona, and then a metaphysical transformation from the social persona to the authentic self. Once secure in the authentic self, you will remain authentic, regardless of whether others resonate with the authentic self or not.

Befriend and comfort those who vibe with you, and let those who don't vibe with you fall away to find those in their own comfort zone. Practice peace and love for all. God is love, and we are created in His image--we ARE love.

When the gap closes between who you are and who you appear to be, you are free. Let the trauma and drama pass. ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE INSPIRED!!!
